Account Development Manager

Location: Madison
Job Description:

Grows Demco sales through proactive management of named key accounts, focused on account penetration, opportunity identification and cross-sell. Initiates, develops, and closes sales across key company solutions with customers; recommending new solutions and applying appropriate sales strategies. Contact with customers will rely on 70% phone and 30% travel.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in a relevant subject (business, marketing, sales) or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of solution sales experience focused on software solutions is needed. Experience utilizing CRM software required. Library/Education sales experience preferred.×˙ Maturity, enthusiasm, a professional demeanor and the ability to effectively communicate are vital for this position. Candidate must be a self starter and have the drive to uncover new opportunities.

Position:

Customer Service Representatives (2)

Location: Madison
Job Description:

Serve Demco’s customers by placing orders, preparing quotes and answering questions regarding the status of customer’s orders. Assist customers with answering questions they may have regarding our websites, products, promos, shipping, etc. Provide accurate information to customers regarding lead times, back orders and discontinued items. Help increase revenue and provide value to our customers by offering promotions and/or upsells. Has authority, within guidelines, to make changes in pricing for products or shipping to ensure customer satisfaction. Handles customer contacts via phone, mail, fax, internet, and email. Y-cords with new trainees and other coworkers throughout Demco. Works together with internal customers as part of the problem solving process.

Qualifications:

Pleasant voice with excellent telephone and communication skills required. The ability to analyze, with attention to detail and to prioritize, while handling multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, is necessary. Must possess quick and accurate keyboarding skills. A minimum of one year of customer service experience is required. Previous call center experience is preferred.

Position:

Managing Director (Executive Director, Software Solutions Business)

Location: Madison, WI or Indianapolis, IN or, San Diego, CA
Job Description:

Serve as a member of the Demco executive team, leading the Software Solutions segment of the business. Ultimately responsible for Demco software revenue growth and profitability. This role is responsible for setting strategic direction for Demco’s library software solutions. The Managing Director will guide and set vision and direction for product development, software engineering, technical support, UI / UX and go-to-market. This leader will have P&L responsibility for the software portion of Demco’s business, including complying with company financial and reporting requirements. In addition, leadership best practices will be expected to engage, grow, and develop co-workers across the geographic locations and functional areas. Will embed a culture of innovation and assure development of products/services that continue to meet the short and long term needs of our customers. Will guide the acquisition of new customers and retention of current customers.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates are required to have a 4- year college relevant
degree with MBA preferred. Must have significant leadership experience with full P&L ownership with strong sales and marketing background and a track record of growth and leading multi-functional teams during periods of transition. Must also have proven post-start-up experience in a software business with demonstrated experience of launching and commercializing new products and services dealing with software/technology. Proven ability to develop financial plans, re-engineer processes, manage & develop new processes, financial plan is also required as well as proven ability to anticipate market, customer and business needs. Also must be able to travel an estimated 60%.

Position:

Material Handler

Location: DeForest
Job Description:

Provides material handling in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. Efficiently picks orders from high rise for shipment. Assembles orders for shipment. Ensures that orders picked are accurate and free of damage following company guidelines. Supports efforts of other department personnel by fulfilling supplies at the pack line and various work. Replenishes products from the warehouse into the primary pick area in a timely and accurate manner. Rotates product in bins and keep shelves picker-friendly. Completes any documentation or computer transactions to track product and work flow. Complies with OSHA and other appropriate standards. This position requires the use of powered material handling equipment.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent is required.×˙ Computer, tablet, and/or data entry experience is a plus, preferably in the Demco environment.×˙ Must be able to lift 70 lbs., carry 50 lbs., and stand for 6-8 hours per day.×˙ Typical day requires use of foot and hand controls repetitively.×˙ Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, and an excellent attendance and safety record.×˙ Must be comfortable working in high places and be able to work overtime.

Position:

Product Manager - (Equipment/Technology Line)

Location: Madison
Job Description:

The Product Manager is responsible for driving sales growth
through the development of an innovative customer-driven portfolio of products.

Key responsibilities and capabilities for success in the role include:

  • Developing customer and market insights and empathy to indentify treads and needs
  • Selection, ideation and development of product and product portfolio to match the trends and meet the needs
  • Strategy for effectively merchandising and advertising of products through catlaog, web, sales team and social media
  • Ability to target product features, positioning and messages to resonate with target audience
  • Develop and execute price strategy taking into account costs, competitors, market, and corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with Materials Management to establish mutual beneficial vendor relationships

Also requires strong problem solving and analytical skills; the ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment; organize workloads to meet deadlines; and foster a team environment. This position is also responsible for participating in the training and development of the Assistant Product Manager.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates are required to have a 4- year college degree or equivalent work experience along with 3-5 years of experience in product management and merchandising, direct mail preferred. Successful candidates must have a technology background with the ability to understand tech trends, a strong ability to multi-task, be a self-motivated learner, and have high attention to detail.

Position:

Software Solution Consultant

Location: Madison or Remote
Job Description:

Drives revenue growth through delivery of software solution subject matter expertise, and matching of Demco solutions with customer needs. In partnership with Account Development Managers and Inside Sales Representatives, identifies opportunities for Demco solutions to address customer needs. Pursues penetration of software solution into current Demco accounts, and serves as the solution SME during the sales process. Also collaborates with Library Engagement marketing team to position software solution in the market, to drive inquiries and new customer acquisition. In addition, the position provides post-sales support as needed to ensure adoption and customer satisfaction. Contact with customers is estimated to be approximately 75% phone and 25% travel.

Position:

Technical Support Specialist

Location: Madison
Job Description:

Provides 1st and 2nd level technical support for workstations and coworkers via the corporate Help Desk. Promptly attends to requests submitted through help desk system with primary focus on desktop support. Works in a team setting to manage all aspects of workstation hardware and software within an MS network. Appropriately prioritizes work, while ensuring effective time management. This position has off hours on call responsibility as well.

Qualifications:

A 2-year degree in computer technical support is required. Experience must include 1–2 years of technical support in a Microsoft AD and Office environment. Must be an efficient problem solver, an effective multitasker, and have professional communication skills that adjust depending on the technical ability of the user. IBM System i experience, MS and Cisco certifications are a plus. Experience with MAC hardware and customer service is desired. MAC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications:

Relevant Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of Web Development and project management experience. Must also possess demonstrated strategic thinking/problems solving skills with the ability to modify web sites for a superior customer experience.
