Collections Specialist

Location: Madison, WI
Job Description: Works within the Accounts Receivable Department to reduce the delinquency of unpaid invoices. Proactively connects with customers regarding past due payments, assists with payment arrangements, and documents decisions. Establishes customer credit terms, minimizing company risk, and applies consistently amongst customers. Works through order hold processing.
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have 5 years Collections experience to accompany their Associates Degree (or equivalent work experience). Must have high level of integrity for dealing with confidential client financial information, must be able to maintain composure at all times and be able to use logic to determine the appropriate resolution for each account. Successful candidates will possess exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal and have a strong sense of deadlines and ability to stick with established timelines for follow-up.

Position:

Copywriter

Location: Madison, WI
Job Description:
  • Develop requests from creative brief to finished copy for a variety of projects, including product copy for catalog and web, marketing campaigns, emails, banner ads, sales collateral, social posts, blog posts, and video scripts, in support of Demco marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Work with segment leaders and functional areas, including Product Management and Creative Services, to create benefit-driven copy, clarify requests, and keep projects moving forward within scheduled deadlines.
  • Develop compelling, high-quality copy under tight deadlines that clearly communicates Demco’s product offerings, positions Demco as an industry leader, and supports all brand segments and channels.
  • Proofreads content and edits as appropriate based on copy standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a 4-year degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or other relevant field, along with 2 years of professional experience. Must have a demonstrated ability to write accurately, clearly, and persuasively; engage the reader; and produce on-brand marketing copy. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of grammar, punctuation, proofreading symbols, and, ideally, SEO best practices. Knowledge of catalog, web, retail and social media writing conventions is necessary, along with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Must have good communication skills, be able to adapt to the diverse needs of a variety of segments and channels, and ensure a consistent approach and voice across channels.

Customer Service Representative Part Time Mon–Fri, 10am–2pm

Location: Madison, WI
Job Description: Serve Demco’s customers by placing orders, preparing quotes and answering questions regarding the status of customer’s orders. Assist customers with answering questions they may have regarding our websites, products, promos, shipping, etc. Provide accurate information to customers regarding lead times, back orders and discontinued items. Help increase revenue and provide value to our customers by offering promotions and/or upsells. Has authority, within guidelines, to make changes in pricing for products or shipping to ensure customer satisfaction. Handles customer contacts via phone, mail, fax, internet, and email. Y-cords with new trainees and other coworkers throughout Demco. Works together with internal customers as part of the problem solving process. 
Qualifications:

Pleasant voice with excellent telephone and communication skills required.  The ability to analyze, with attention to detail and to prioritize, while handling multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, is necessary.  Must possess quick and accurate keyboarding skills.  A minimum of one year of customer service experience is required.  Previous call center experience is preferred.

Position:

Development Analyst I

Location: Madison, WI
Job Description:

Responsible for the continued development of a custom ERP business system in an IBMi/Windows environment, including web application development. As a member of the development team, this individual will work closely with internal clients and the Application Services team to determine needs, design, develop, and finally implement solutions in a timely and efficient manner. This highly visible position will represent the technical perspective on business issues to the organization through their astute communication skills.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum undergraduate or 2-year degree in IS program development and a minimum 1 year programming experience in a client server and web environment. Successful candidates must be effective communicators who are self-motivated with a strong sense of priority and possess a willingness to accommodate a rapidly evolving development environment. Experience with business application systems including customer service, manufacturing, distribution, finance, CRM, and/or business analytics a plus. Knowledge of .NET, IBMi and LANSA a plus.

Director of Engineering

Job Description:

Act as a technology visionary, conceptualizing and executing on a long-term vision towards platform development, responsible for technology selection, products, engineering hires, road-map, execution and strategy across the software business.

Lead the Development, Architecture/Ops, Q/A, Implementation and Support teams and work closely with Product Management, UX/UI and other business stakeholders, to develop innovative, market-leading PaaS solutions for our library and other adjacent markets. Build teams, manage people, develop processes and instill best practices, measuring velocity, and shipping quality code. Help define and execute vision and strategy for the Software Business.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field must accompany a minimum of 10 years related engineering experience. Must have the strong ability to communicate and present, specifically able to translate high level vision and strategy into clear, digestible objectives across all levels of the organization. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in selecting, developing, and engaging a high-performance team. The role requires. In addition, this position requires:

  • Industry-leading experience with developing cloud-hosted platforms supporting secure products
  • Deep understanding of various Open Source communities and technologies
  • Track record working with network infrastructure / Software Defined Networks, virtualization technologies, operating systems, database and web applications
  • Experience working with open source tools, big data architectures leveraging Hadoop, NoSQL engines, and RDBMS engines
  • In-depth knowledge and experience securing service oriented architectures leveraging RESTful API’s
  • Experience working inside of Agile and quick-paced environments, LAMP Development, Mobile Development, RESTful API/services
  • Familiarity with mobile application development languages (Objective-C, Java) and mobile development frameworks (ReactNative, PhoneGap)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of AWS preferred, but not essential
  • Managing remote teams and ensure high co-worker engagement and cross site collaboration.
