Cleans My Books
I use this on my books all the time as well as periodically on documents. This does a good job removing the dirt and even though doesn't take off stains, it does brighten the piece pretty good.

Only thing I use
I use this to clean all my publications including books and documents. You can roll the cleaner over the surface to clean rather than swipe if you do not want it to crumble. It really brightens what you are cleaning and highly recommend it!

Make things worse!
I've been using aborene for about 2 weeks at my library and in that time I've noted several problems with the product:
1. its very picky about what it will clean. For example it won't touch pencil, crayon, marker, pen, tape residue, or anything on a surface that isn't totally smooth.
2. What it will pick up requires a great deal of effort for minimal results. I am not fully confident that I haven't simply tricked myself into thinking the marks I've worked on are slightly lighter.
3. It crumbles like crazy and said crumbs are very hard to remove once they have dried to something.
4. IT STAINS PAPER!! I had noticed a barely visible oily stain appear on the items I worked on. At first I figured this was just dirt that wasn't picked up but when the same stain kept appearing over and over I became suspicious. I tested it on a clean sheet of paper and sure enough the same oily mark showed up!

Just crumbles
I bought this to clean the books. It crumbles apart and makes a mess. Now I have more to clean.

Not what I expected
I thought that this would be like a soft eraser. It is more like dough. It crumbles apart when you are using it. It does not work that well. Also the fist container I received had mold. Demco immediately replaced it!
