Extra work
We purchase these for our Pre-K-1st graders to protect their library books. This year, several of the strings were not joined together well, requiring me to do extra work tying the ends, and, in some cases, re-inserting the strings. Maybe, it was just a bad batch. I'll consider it "Strike One." The size is great, though, handling whatever the little ones choose.

Poor construction
The string handle is not properly attached to the bag with the metal clasp. We had to reassemble and glue them together.

The quality is not as good as it used to be!
I have been buying library bags for over 20 years for our kindergarten and 1st grade students. I'm disappointed as they are not as sturdy as they were several years ago. The seams split and the string handle comes out. I don't think the students are harder on them than they used to be, so it leaves me to believe that they aren't made as well. I will continue to order them because I need them, but it's frustrating to see them not hold up as well.
