Rated 5 out of 5 by MissLaurie from Great Glue Batman! I've been using this glue for 7 years, I'm a middle school librarian and repair hundreds of books a year. This is the only glue I use because it's perfect. It is really strong, there's no smell and its stronger than the books original glue binding. I purchase the large bottle and put it the glue in the Empty 2-oz. Bottle for Norbond Adhesive which Demco sales at $1.39 each. This makes it much easier to use, much easier than the 8 oz.bottle. It takes at least a couple days to dry if, for example, you're using it to fix a book spine. But once it dries, its amazingly strong. Definately recommend!!! GET THIS GLUE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cookextraordinaire from Repair for book binding A dearly loved cookbook fell apart in my hands, the glue of the binding giving way, leaving me holding all the pages. I went to some lengths to research what to use so I could preserve the cookbook into the future. I found that regular white glue was NOT the stuff and so I bought this Norbond Glue. It worked absolutely flawlessly to repair the book. It dried clear, although I had carefully wiped-up any squeeze out, still there was not a sign after gluing. It is holding great although early days. The cookbook seems like new, except for the butter and sauce and other stains marking my history with it's recipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judy I from Best Glue for books! As a long-time volunteer in an elementary school library on a strict budget, I constantly use this glue. On book corners that are damaged, I take a bit of the glue and dab it between the corner papers, and wipe off the excess, take a piece of waxed paper and fold it onto the corner and hold it with a wood clip clothespin. Let it dry for maybe 1/2 hour but not overnight or the wax paper will stick. The glue makes the corners much harder and the wax provides a covering. It has saved a lot of our books that could have been discarded. Wouldn't use any other glue, I even bought some for my personal use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pete Sterling from Book Repair Glue My purchase wasesult of trying to find a glue that was somewhat elastic, so that it would not break the first time a book was opened. It also had to come in a container with a narrow spout so that it could be placed in a small opening without getting it everywhere it wasn't supposed to be. The result of the search led me to Demco which had a reputation for use in book repairs. So far ithas worked great. At this point, my only complaint is the postage charge which was almost three times the cost of the glue, and probably three times what it should have been.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kathleenAnn from superior product Dear Demco - my computer wouldn't open up the link for a review so I'm writing one here. I use Demco products at my local library where I repair books. The Demco Norbond is an amazing product -- it works incredible well on all books -- paperbacks as well as hard cover. I use it alone for re-gluing paperbacks and for use on the Demco fabric products to repair signatures and blocks. It sticks well, dries fast and washes off my brushes and hands easily with soap and water. When I decided to repair my own books at home, I did not want to use any other product and purchased the Demco Norbond adhesive for my home use. Sincerely, Kathy Boozan

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diane61 from Newbee to Book Repair I am new at the task of textbook repair in our school systems textbook warehouse. In order to repair with the proper type of glue and materials, I set abouttrying to find out what others(school librarians) use for their repairs. All I can say is "I sure hope the library books don't look as worn as some of the textbooks that are returned to the warehouse for repair". I contacted one of the high school librarians and was told Norbond Liquid Plastic Adhesive Glue had been used for all of the book repairs and that I should contact Demco. I went on line and was able to locate the product on sale. I am very impressed with the Norbond and was very satisfied the very first time with the ease of use and the sturdiness of the book when it dried. I will admit some textbooks are beyond repair but at least I have this"how to" problem solved. Thank you and I will be watching the "how to " videos as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CoachAub from Great for books I've seen too many people try to use standard classroom glues to mend library books. It just doesn't work or last as well as Norbond. Norbond stays flexible, doesn't crack, discolor, or shrink your paper. If you're mending books, this is worth it.
