Norbond for book repairs
I believe Norbond is essentially a product I encountered some 45 years ago that was called "Booksaver" and used by savvy librarians for book repair. Very easy to use, great stuff. Demco handled my tiny order (I'm only a book collector) in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner. The order was well packed.

Library MUST HAVE
I love this product. I've fixed many bindings with it. And the best part is that a little bit goes a long way!
Does anyone know the self-life of the 2 oz bottle? It says 6 months of opening, but what about unopened?

First Time to Use - Great Result
I used another product for close to 40 years and now cannot find it. Assume the company no longer makes it. This was my first time using it to rebind the Bible of a friend. It was in rough shape! The adhesive truly met my expectations. Time will tell if the results will be as long lasting as those of the previous adhesive I used. I was very happy with the way this project turned out.

So great for book repair.
I finally talked myself into getting this glue for book repair. Please know that I am a self-taught book fixer. I had used hot glue which became brittle. This is the greatest. I think it helps books last longer than they would with having been repair.

flexibility in repair
I have been an LMS several years, but I also function as the book repairman and I love the flexibility Norbond gives to me. It also dries clear and so repairing torn pages is not a problem as they can be read after repaired.

Best Bonding
I have been purchasing this product for 10 years. It is an excellent product. I recently sent a bottle to a library friend of mine who was having a difficult time with the adhesive she had been using. She used it and loves it.

Best adhesive ever!
I worked in a library for 30 years and used Norbond to repair books. Pages stayed in and the adhesive never turned yellow or hardened. I am using it now to repair an old Bible.

Best Book Repair Glue ever
This glue does not get brittle. It is flexible, and is absolutely wonderful to fix my children's book spines with. You can make a book look brand new with a piece of wax paper , a rubber band and this wonderful Norband glue.

Works as Advertised
I watched a youtube video on how to repair books and was pleasantly surprised that the product works as advertised. You'd never know the binding had separated.

superior product
Dear Demco - my computer wouldn't open up the link for a review so I'm writing one here.
I use Demco products at my local library where I repair books. The Demco Norbond is an amazing product -- it works incredible well on all books -- paperbacks as well as hard cover. I use it alone for re-gluing paperbacks and for use on the Demco fabric products to repair signatures and blocks. It sticks well, dries fast and washes off my brushes and hands easily with soap and water.
When I decided to repair my own books at home, I did not want to use any other product and purchased the Demco Norbond adhesive for my home use.
Sincerely,
Kathy Boozan

Repair for book binding
A dearly loved cookbook fell apart in my hands, the glue of the binding giving way, leaving me holding all the pages. I went to some lengths to research what to use so I could preserve the cookbook into the future. I found that regular white glue was NOT the stuff and so I bought this Norbond Glue. It worked absolutely flawlessly to repair the book. It dried clear, although I had carefully wiped-up any squeeze out, still there was not a sign after gluing. It is holding great although early days. The cookbook seems like new, except for the butter and sauce and other stains marking my history with it's recipes.

Excellent glue, especially for books.
Norbond is an excellent product to use when repairing books, especially the spine.
Use this product to reattach the spine before using the Scotch 845 tape especially when the edges are coming apart. Let the glue dry at least 12 hours before applying the tape, this allows the glue to be dry and the tape will not get wet.
I highly recommend this glue to other people and librarians. Be sure to use something that will keep the parts of the book together, like rubber bands.

Best Glue for books!
As a long-time volunteer in an elementary school library on a strict budget, I constantly use this glue. On book corners that are damaged, I take a bit of the glue and dab it between the corner papers, and wipe off the excess, take a piece of waxed paper and fold it onto the corner and hold it with a wood clip clothespin. Let it dry for maybe 1/2 hour but not overnight or the wax paper will stick. The glue makes the corners much harder and the wax provides a covering. It has saved a lot of our books that could have been discarded. Wouldn't use any other glue, I even bought some for my personal use.

Great stuff!
I purchased this a few weeks ago to repair some books our little grand daughter tore because she loved them so much. This stuff works great! Just put a little on with a small brush along the rip, put a piece of wax paper in front of and behind the ripped page, close the book overnight until glue dries. Take out wax paper and book is ready to be loved some more!
