Rated 1 out of 5 by td530 from What happened? We've been using Scotty peelers for years; they're Sharp, and remove all sorts of labels/adhesives - and open silly over-packaged items like CDs & DVDs. They had red handles and came in boxes of 2. We got orange handled, DULL 'econo-pry' instead. PLEASE differentiate better - I Want sharp, functional, not some useless knock-off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by willy gee from It Works! The metal label peeler works very well on most kinds of labels. We use it to repurpose plastic magazine files by removing spine labels and other information. As one might expect, it is most difficult to remove barcode labels as they use powerful adhesive. The label peeler will remove the surface of the barcode label, and we use Goo Gone for the rest. In general, the label peeler has save a lot of time and untold fingernails. It's possible to scratch or dent surfaces with it; so, I would not use it on wood or other soft surfaces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by choosy from It Works! I purchased the metal label peeler to help remove labels from plastic magazine files so we could reuse them. It removes most labels quickly, saving time and fingernails. Bar code labels need a little extra help as they have an especially meaningful adhesive. While it can scratch plastic, and I wouldn't use it on softer materials, such as wood, this tool is so helpful, I'm thinking about ordering another to use at home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed librarian from Disappointed Several years ago, I bought a label peeler and it was just like the one pictured (red handle; sturdy; worked great). This year when I ordered the label peeler, it has an orange handle and the cover has "Econo Pry" on it. The orange handled label peeler does not work as well as the red handled one. You have to work much harder to remove the labels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LibraryLaura from Good, but... I have these removers in my library and for the most part they work well. I do have one complaint: the design of the end is, in my opinion, poor. If you have several labels to remove, or a very large one, the pointy end digs into the heel of your hand, causing redness and soreness. Maybe a new design can remove this point?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jyss from Fabulously Pragmatic Label Remover! Seriously, one would not think the metal label remover would prove to essential to library item processing - but it is. It easily slips under the labels in need of removal and assists in quickly lifting it them up and away.
